 |
What is Counselling?Counselling is a quiet, confidential, safe space for you, as a client, to bring all your problems, thoughts and feelings and to be listened to. As a Counsellor, I will help you to reflect upon and explore your thoughts and feelings in an empathetic, non-judgemental, patient way and help you to find the direction in which you want to proceed. Counselling is NOT about advice giving and there is no magic wand; beneficial changes can take time. What Conditions Can it Help?Alcohol, drug, gambling and sex addictions, sexual and emotional abuse, depression, anxiety, anger management, stress management, bereavement, grief and loss, self-harming, improving self-confidence, self-esteem and assertiveness, relationship problems. These are general, please ask me if you require something more specific. What Benefits can be Expected? As a Counsellor, and someone that is not involved in your day-to-day life, I can give you a chance to talk things through in a confidential space which is just for you. Sometimes, a person outside your immediate family and friends can see a bigger, clearer, picture. You may have issues from your past impacting on your present life which may be in your unconscious; these can be resolved in counselling.
